Painting your vertical blinds

I’ve heard from many of my friends and neighbors that they’re sick and tired of the color of their vertical blinds especially those fabric vertical blinds. Most of them do not want to change their vertical blinds as yet, they just want to change the colors but it’s too costly to get it professionally done.

Some of them have done some research on painting or re-painting vertical blinds yourself. Here’re some of their suggestions:

1) If you have a fabric vertical blinds, you can remove the fabric from the groover inserts and replace it with new fabric.
2) You can spray paint the vertical blinds using Floral paint. If you encountered any spots on the blinds, try to iron it a bit. A word of caution: the blinds might not be as straight after the ironing, so please handle it with care
3) You can also try using fabric dye. Fill your bathtub with hot water, put in the dye then your vertical blinds. Caution: please doa strip test before embarking on the real thing.
4) You can also cut strips of wall paper or the border and stick it on the individual blind
