How to Repair Vertical Blinds

If you've been using vertical blinds for a while, you will find that one of the most frustrating and yet common problems with your vertical blinds is that sometimes the vains in your vertical blinds just couldn't open or close properly. Most of the time, it's just a few vains in your vertical blinds that seem to have malfunctioned, the rest appears to be working fine.

If you encounter this problem, you can either ignore it, get some professional help, replace the blinds and of course the best option is to try to fix the vertical blinds yourself. Well…you can try some of the recommended methods by vertical blinds users around the world. Most verticals have a removable clip that pulls out of the gear. If the clip is intact (if it is still holding the vanes, it probably is), you can probably force the peg back into alignment with the others. It can be a little unnerving because there is the possibility that it may break, but MOST of the time...it can be forced back and work perfectly just by pinching and twisting. (FYI: It may or may not be a replaceable part depending on the brand.) In reality, though, it is already broken, so there is not much to lose by trying. I certainly would feel comfortable doing it own my own. Sometimes it could be due to a broken plastic tooth in the vertical blinds. Just get the vertical blinds down, replace the broken tooth and waah..laa…it should work!
